They're based on an idea I'm inspired by and currently pursuing, which is our better understanding and integration with nature and our surroundings. A sort of holistic hybridization in it, with a futuristic, enigmatic and mysterious touch. A kind of mythical vision. I call these series Interbeing Dream.
Jesús Cruz Caba lives and works in Mexico City. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication and Design from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (UNAM). He has served as head of visual communication projects for contemporary art museums such as the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil and Museo Experimental El Eco, where he is currently developing the institution’s image program and collaborative artistic processes.
Cruz Caba’s work is an evolving inquiry into conceptual and formal relationships rooted in the legacy of avant-garde movements, their enduring impact on modernity in Latin America, and the sociocultural processes that emerge from this integration. His practice explores the expanded field of typographic design, merging literary and video-based experiments to translate across diverse contexts and media. His thematic interests often revolve around local narratives concerning natural resources, embodied mythologies, and site-specific work.
His projects have been exhibited internationally—in countries including Mexico, Denmark, Belgium, and Japan—and he has collaborated with a variety of cultural institutions on editorial and collective exhibition projects, including Casa del Lago Juan José Arreola, MUCA Roma (UNAM), and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca.
